Inhalation Sedation

Nitrous oxide, discovered in 1772, is a colorless, sweet-smelling and non-irritating gas. It induces a pleasurable, relaxing feeling that decreases anxiety. Also called laughing gas due to its slightly euphoric affect. When you inhale too much a silly, happy drunk feeling will manifest itself...which is not necessarily recommended for dental procedures...so, we have to dose cautiously. This service is charged by the hour and cannot be used by pregnant patients.
