Supposing the patient had braces in his childhood and over the timespan the teeth have slightly shifted then the patient may have to wear the aligners for as little as 10 weeks. However, if the guideline set by the doctor is not followed then the treatment could take longer to complete. 

Unlike the traditional braces with brackets and wires, Invisalign is a clear, BPA free plastic aligners. These aligners are painless. They are almost invisible so smile whenever you want to.  They are often referred to as “Clear Braces”.

They are easy to remove and are custom made in such a way that they fit your teeth perfectly. Traditional braces cause irritation to the mouth and lips because of their sharp edges and ends. Invisalign is made to fit the teeth so it does not irritate the gums or the other areas in the mouth. 

The best part is you are free to eat what you like. Traditional braces have strict diet regulations because of their physical nature but Invisalign is easily removable. Hence it has less impact on your diet as you can remove them during meals. 

The Invisalign does not block any part of the teeth and therefore oral health and hygiene can better be taken care of than with braces where it is difficult to clean the plaque collected in between and around the brackets.
